I read previous reviews and sized up and the size 8 fit my six and a half year old well with a bit leverage for maybe another summer. So as long as you size up you will be fine. The colour is amazing and (orange/brown)my son loves the number of pockets for all his bits and bobs. Teamed with a plain orange or brown t shirt perfect summer wear.

My nearly 3yr old loved these and wanted to wear them straight away. He really liked the pockets, perfect for his cars! Size is fine, the slightly longer length should make them last. Sadly it seems as if it hasn't stopped raining since they arrived so haven't given them the madness in the park test yet.

This is the 3rd year running I've bought these shorts for my son - he just lives in then from March onwards! Only negative is that the size 11's which he's in this year seem a lot longer (below the knee) than previous sizes, but doesn't seem to bother him!

My son loves these after trying them on yesterday. Unfortunately the weather has turned cold again so we are saving them for warmer days. The age 10 is a perfect fit (with the drawstring) on a tall slim eight year old.
They look fab with the 'let's split' and 'green giraffe' t-shirts and I am sure they will get lots of wear and will also look great with Cub tops.

Got these last year and they wash and wear well. Purchased age 5 for my very tall ( nearly 4 year old 112 cm height ).They fit well but will not last another year we have just purchased age 6 to see of this will ensure that the next growth spurt and end of summer early autumn is covered!
As this says size up but check the measurements.
Quality and detail are excellent 4 stars really for the quality control issue with the sizing .
