I bought these for my eight year old son who adores them. He is very tall for his age so I was delighted to find velcro fastening shoes in larger sizes and they look great. However they have broken after only two weeks wear - the metal eyelets have come off around the straps. I don't mind shoes looking scruffy after a short time -I have three boys and know what to expect, but would expect better quality from Boden.

My son usually finds fault with most footwear but loved these boots.
They have just been worn over a hectic two week holiday and we had no complaints yet other canvas sandals gave him blisters etc. We bought the canvas star shoes last year and they proved too tight and didnt wear as well. The boot styling is great and the brown stars (which we purchased) are fairly neutral so go with pretty much everything. Im a fan of Boden and buy alot of children's wear but this is the first time ive felt inclined to do a review about one of their products. I intend to purchase further pairs and hope Boden continues to offer this as It will become a firm staple in my son's wardrobe.My son is seven.

Very good-looking, unique, noticeable and super as everything I have bought from Boden. A little too long for their size but no problem, my son already wears them becausee they fit well in the ankle and he will have them for a looong time!

Great looking boots - my boys love them (and I love the lack of laces!) Both sons chose the faded red colour which is great, although one of them did comment that it looks a bit more pink than red, but that hasn't stopped them from wearing them. Both my boys have very narrow feet (F fitting) but these boots seem to fit them fine.

My son had a pair of high tops last season which he adored so we bought the summer version. He is 7 and wanted the green. They look fab especially with shorts, we are off on holidays soon so he has been saving them for best! Would highly recommend them!

Bought these for my six year old. He loves them and makes sure he points them out to everyone we meet. He is taller than average and fairly thin and the boots need to be pulled in to the max on the top Velcro strap. This doesn't seem to bother him though. Just a minor detail.

My son has always longed for a pair of the famous US brand "Con" boots, but still has trouble with laces, so how wonderful to come across this style canvas boot with velcro!! Are absolutely wonderful, have a very happy son who continually has the boots stuck to his feet. Have had no trouble with rubbing and my son has a wide foot but the size he usually takes fit fine with growning room. Will order another pair in a different colour!

I have a slim 6 year old with long narrow feet (F width). We ordered these last year and had to return them, due to being too wide. So we tried again this year and were both desperate for them to fit. Ordered in his normal size 13 and they were huge! Both in length and width! Sadly they were returned as sizing down (possibly even 2 sizes) would not altar the width. Such a shame, as they are lovely and look like they would wear well. These would look equally good on girls too!
