i do love these jammies, they are so cute. only problem is the are unbelieveably small. my child is in 18-24 months everywhere else. ordered these in 2 years as it said snug fit. i couldnt even get the top on him. i would recommend going at least one size bigger.

Look really cute in photos on website. I have a small 8 year old and bought age 9 size for him. Bottoms are fine, but the top is really snug. Have decided to keep as they just fit and will do for the summer. Interestingly bought a different style (pyjama set) for my 11 year old in age 11/12 and they are far too big for him. I'd like to see more consistent sizing!

I bought these for all 3 of my children and sized up 2 years after reading the reviews. This worked well for my 2 year old twins but even 2 years wasn't enough for my older child, the bottoms were fine but the top was stupidly small, have now bought a different style of pyjamas which do the job far better

I bought these shortie PJs for my 7 year old son for our Easter holiday in the sun. He has had Boden PJs before and recently got a new t-shirt in a size 7 which fits, but is on the large size. So I never thought to read the reviews - I just ordered a size 7 in the PJs too.However they have arrived today and I'm incredibly disappointed - even on just taking them out of the packet I could see that they were too small. I have a very slim 7 year old, but these PJs are too small for him - I can see why others have recommended ordering at least 2 sizes larger.Incredibly disappointed now [...] we go away next week, and he's without summer PJs.

Having read the reviews I decided to size up and ordered age 4 for my VERY slim and small 3 year old.... the waist fitted perfectly (for a change), however the top barely reached the waist and the material of the monkey print ones was hard, rough and very cheap feeling. Not what I expected from Boden at all. Returned them unfortunately.

I'll be honest - I want these for my 5 year old son to wear during the day. I live in sweltering Greece, shorts are essential and I thought these look cute and comfortable. I am fed up of drab colours and nasty designs on boys clothes. I wanted size 7/8 for him as he is tall - 123cm, but only age 11 were available, and so I bought those thinking I could store them for a few years. So was was shocked that they actually fit ! Obviously this suits me- but I think buyers must be aware that these are a very small fit.

Lovely fabric, soft and breathable, and lovely prints. Well, lovely quality anyway - not sure I love the dinosaur destruction as much as my son, but then again, I'm not sure he cares about that ; )! The sizing is very small. I know they are supposed to be snug, but if you need any room for growth or comfort, then unless your son is very slim indeed, I would go up two sizes. Skintight pyjamas don't seem like a good idea for summer wear to me - too sticky. The tops are very short and only just meet the waistband of the shorts, so he will grow out of them quickly. Also, the girls' version comes with a cute bag to keep them in. How come the boys miss out?? Outrage in my house that the sister gets something he doesn't...And I have to agree it seems very unfair, plus it would be nice for storage and packing. Had they come with a bag, I'd have given them four stars, but the disparity really did cause ructions (and if the sizing had been less irritating, they would have got five).
