I've bought the lavender pinafore with the bee appliquée for my almost 3 years old daughter. When it arrived I was dissapointed as the fabric wasn't the quality I've expected. The colours of the bee motif aren't bright at all and it is made from a thin fabric applied directly on the dress without another material between them which makes the motif to appear darker and sort of dirty (especially the yellow colour).
However I've decided to keep it as I like the shape of the dress and the lavender colour looks lovely on my LO as well as the bee motif.

I bought two of these for my girls age 2-3 and 6mths. As soon as I opened the packaging i was disappointed. The quality isn't great, the material is very thin. The appliqué design is starting to fray on both outfits and they have only been worn twice. It would look strange as a dress so I dressed them both with the pink t shirt edged with green and the Boden yellow cardigans to brighten up the green as it is a bit too bold and overbearing on little children. The pinafore is pretty shapeless too, I think it needs a cardi to break it up a bit. A good play outfit but not the usual Boden quality.

I loved the picture of the bee dress but was very disappointed when I received the dress. The yellow on the lining , bee and pants was a dirty looking yellow and the purple looked washed out and faded. The material is very thin and my 9 month old fit snugly into the 12-18 month old size. I was hoping, for the cost, she would get a lot of wear out of it. Sadly, I don't think so. Generally I love Bodens children's range BUT WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE QUALITY?!

I wasn't too impressed with this dress when it arrived because the colours were less bright than they look in the picture. But once it is on it looks great and it is ideal for summer because the fabric is very light.

Gorgeous for playing in. Material is thinner than expected so definitely have to wait for warmer weather to wear it but still lovely design and bright colours.
